Hi everyone,
This week we are paying attention to receiving inner guidance. You can listen for guidance while sitting, standing, lying down, on the go, or relaxing. Most people find it easier when they are in a quiet and receptive state.
Free Tips on Receiving Guidance
1. Sit and Ground: For the purpose of this exercise, find a quiet place to sit down for a few moments. Start by grounding and clearing yourself. (If you don’t know how to do this, email me and I’ll send you some content). Use your breath to calm yourself. Open all your senses. Imagine opening your third eye, your feelings and your inner ear. Once you feel centered and clear, open to receiving you guidance.
2. Practice Being Neutral: Remain detached and neutral so that it’s easier to hear your answers. Many people have commented that they can get information for others but have trouble reading for themselves. Being emotional or attached to an answer can get in your way. So practice neutrality.
3. Ask Questions: Ask one question at a time. If your head is busy and you are asking three questions at once, you may not know which question has been answered when you receive an answer.
4. Add the phrase “In divine truth” at the beginning of a question. This increases the accuracy of your answer. For example, “In divine truth, the best direction for me is to go is ___________?
5. Trust Your Timing: Ask, “Am I at the place in my life to know the answer to this question now?” Sometimes the answers to our questions are not available or ready yet. When we push and try to forge ahead and we are out of timing, we can get frustrated.
6. Remember your Ethics: We don’t trespass on other people’s properties. It is also not ethical to trespass into other people’s energy. If you invade someone else’s territory by reading them without permission, you can get inaccurate information or pick up their stuff. No trespassing.
Daily Practices
1. For this week’s intention state one or more of the following:
- I listen for my divine guidance every day.
- I attune myself to the divine.
- I practice listening.
2. When it’s time to make small choices or larger decisions, slow down and breathe. Ask yourself, what does my guidance tell me to do? Have I grounded and cleared myself? Am I feeling clear about the answer? Wait to move forward until you feel clear.
3. When you eat, remain mindful. Eat a balanced diet and a balanced amount of food.
4. Keep a balance in your cycle of rest and activity. When you are tired, take 5 minutes or more and slow down. As you go to sleep, tune in and check in with your guidance.
5. Find balance in as many activities as possible. Choose activities this week that you feel guided toward. Spirit often encourages us to rest, exercise, meditate, stretch and read inspiring literature. Spend time with wise and loving friends. Cultivate a balance between going inside into quiet time and going out into the world being active.
