Hi everyone,
Have you ever felt that you had to hide your psychic, intuitive, clairvoyance or spiritual gifts to be accepted, or that few understand who you are and how you are wired? I felt like that part of my life and know others who have suffered from these feelings.
The feelings of being the odd one out can be compounded when you feel judged for your skill, when they are other family secrets and hiding in order to stay safe. We all have our stories and over time with grace and deep work, we gradually pull ourselves toward becoming a healed and whole human being.
Some of you know well that I’m a medium and for many years I have channeled my Spirit Guide team, Angels and specifically Lao Tzu as well as do “regular” intuition readings. I’m fully “out” about my ability to channel the wonderful inspirations from my Spirit Guides and Angels. Yet, I use discerned as there are people that I choose not to discuss this with.
How do you come out of hiding, be who you are and develop your gifts?
1. First, accept yourself as you are. Love you period, right now. It’s a decision and well worth it. “I am lovable.” “I am love”. That is the truth of your being. Love is your nature. You are made from love. Love is who you are. We are all love underneath. Know this.
2. Stop calling what you know weird, strange, and whoo whoo. See it as an innate gift – or accept weird, strange and whoo whoo as fun and exciting and get on with it. This is another form of judgment. I see that beautiful light inside your soul, and I want you to fall in love with yourself.
3. Realize there will be people who are breaking the mold in most fields and you might as well be one of them. There may be those who don’t approve either but it you are clear with yourself, that won’t matter. The world is opening and changing. Be the leader you were born to be.
4. Gather with like-minded friends/souls that you can hang with and relate to honestly. I love my like minded friends and soul family and I meet so many in my groups and classes. In classes, we share openly and it really has helped each of us to feel more accepted.
5. Look to those who have come before you. Remember those who have broken other molds in any field or profession.
6. Be grateful for your innate intuitive skills and know they are as natural as walking, talking, eating and sleeping. It’s old programming that says we can’t hear the source inside of us. When I was growing up the Catholic church told us to go to the priest to get to the divine. For some strange reason, I never did buy that line. Luckily, we are all divine!
7. Take your (Inner) masks off. Part of being authentic may be accepting that you do not match societies program and that’s freeing and fabulous.
I watched a TV show recently about an elderly, gay Englishman. He spoke about the right of everyone to be oneself. He said, if society doesn’t’ agree with who you are, be yourself anyway and society will catch up. A friend told me the other day, he would love to see me channel Lao Tzu on Oprah! Now, that will be a very good day! Free yourself. Come on out. Liberate and believe in yourself. We want more of the real you.
Love to you,

Hi Dawn,
I finally came out of the psychic closet last year. I was reading
and studying metaphysics so many years, but most of my friends or colleagues did not know about it because i had been afraid what other people thought about me. I have been happier and felt more confident about myself. It took so many years to open up to the society and tell people who really I am.
