While the world is getting busier and moving faster it is sometimes it’s hard to hear your own inner voice and intuition. There are many life situations that can cause us to lose our touch with our sense of deeper consciousness. Yet you can practice this simple strategy when you are driving in traffic or standing in the line at the grocery store.
Throughout the day, it’s important to take a pause when life is pushing us.
Here’s the easiest way I know.
- In the moment breathe. Find a simple rhythmic breath. Breathe in for a count or 3 or 5 seconds and out to a count of 3- 5 seconds.
- Focus on your heart and move to gratitude. Even if you feel you have to fake it, in the moment, think of something or someone you love or something you appreciate in your life. Move to gratitude.
- If you are triggered call on your wisdom and breathe even centered breaths before you respond or react too quickly. Let your heart speak and your intuition come in to lead you. Remember, your heart is far more intelligent than we often give it credit for. When we pause to listen, our heart can lead. It’s the pause we need. That protects our well-being over the hours and days.
- As you slow down and focus on your heart. Ask: What would love do? When you pause, your higher mind can step in to help you.
