Article: Whispers in your ears.
I use the phrase Listening to your whispers with love. It is really wonderful to be able to clearly hear your inner voice. There are some secrets to doing this. They are keys that may seem obvious and easy when you hear them, and yet they are the essentials to being in tune. 1. First quiet your mind. Sound simple? During the course of a day, as we get busy, the mind gets going. The mind will direct you into many thoughts. Learning to quiet the mind is done in meditatative practice and through paying attention to your breath. You can add a mantra or key word or phrase, which focuses the mind on a single thought. Focusing on your breath and paying attention to your breathing is a way to still your wandering mind. 2. Be present. Your intuition is a body-centered tool. Your intuition communicates through the inner side of your senses. It creates pictures, feelings, sounds, tastes, smells and offers a sense of inner knowing and a sense of being in or out of balance. When your mind is quiet and you are centered, you notice your intuition. This feels like you, your self communicating to you. 3. How do you recognize it? You learn to recognize it by remembering past experiences where you have felt it move you. Remember times you have followed through. Stop and listen and attune throughout your day. Stop moving for a minute or two and close your eyes. Notice your breathing. 4. If you think you don’t have time to do this, revisit this thought. It can be done as you are eating lunch, driving your car or sitting in the restroom. If you only have one minute, use one minute. See how long it takes to slow down your mind and listen. 5. Use frequency as a tool. The more often you remember to stop and listen to the quiet whispers in your body and heart, the more you will amp up the volume on your inner voice and be able to hear the calling of your soul.
