Hi there,
I’m not much of a shopper but I sure love using my intuition to help me find things! Today I was having lunch with my friend Laura and we were talking about all the many ways our intuition helps us. I said, I love shopping intuitively.
A couple years ago I gave away of all my Christmas tree ornaments. This year, I wanted to put up a tree again and I didn’t want to spend a lot of time replacing them or a lot of time hunting. I asked spirit for guidance. I got the image of a certain Goodwill type store near my home. I thought they might be picked over, given that it is Christmas.
I double-checked in with myself. I asked spirit “Does this store have some inexpensive Christmas ornaments that will work for me this year?” Again, I heard “Yes”, so I drove right down to that shop and looked for the Christmas section. I asked,”Please guide me right to them.”
3. Several people were on the Christmas aisle but I marched right down to the end and put my hand in a bucket. Out came the coolest old-fashioned Christmas ornaments in perfect shape. Little singing angels, old fashioned Santa Clauses with real looking eyes, a homemade cloth snowman with a long cool hat, some choir singers from the 50’s, a tin soldier, a cute little dog (I love, love, love dogs)… And guess what, they were only a quarter each!
4. I decided to see what else might be there, and lo and behold, I found a box of Christmas candles in the shape of Santas, Angels and Snowmen that were identical to what my mother used to decorate the piano with when I was a child. These were from the 1950’s and had never been lit. Each year I had begged my mother to light those same candles but alas they were her favor Christmas decor. I promised myself I would burn them this year!
Ok, the bigger picture goes way past shopping. Here’s what I did.
I. I asked my intuition one question at a time.
2. I asked simple yes, no questions. That enables my body to use its already familiar yes and no signals to guide me.
3. I trusted, followed through and had fun.
Another story: A friend of mine tuned in to where to purchase a brown pants suit for a wedding. She got that she was to go to Macy’s in SE Portland. She went to the third floor and asked at the counter. They said they had no such suit. She said, “yes you do, in fact I think it might be over there on the sale rack”. Her intuition had kicked in. A few minutes later she was trying on one leftover pants suit, a perfect fit in just the color she wanted on sale for a much lower than usual price. She trusted, she followed through and she was clear enough to hear spirit’s answer. This saved her time, money and frustration. Even if you don’t need much these days because your life is already full, you can use them strategy when you do. Time and time again, I’ve been shown where to find what I need.
I have so many more intuitive experiences of being guided somewhere and finding just what I wanted. I’m sure you may too. I’d love to hear your intuition stories. You can email me at dawnlia@yahoo.com. I might use one in a blog if that’s ok with you!
See you soon,
Love Dawn
